Vanessa Mitchell sponsors the Swaʔwasaʔ Scholarship, new in 2025, which honors a Syilx woman who dedicated her life to being an educator, storyteller, activist, feminist, mother, grandmother, and the true embodiment of an Auntie. She was a steadfast champion of truth, reconciliation, and healing, known for her exceptional communication and leadership that inspired change and connection.
